Hello, we’re Nancy and Michael Morizio, and we’re ready to make your dreams about touring Italy come true. We will be your personal hosts and escorts throughout your vacation in the most beautiful and authentic region of Italy — Abruzzo. You’ll quickly become part of our Abruzzese tradition through sharing time, food, wine, adventure and laughter together. Below you’ll find a brief synopsis of our credentials.

Nancy and Owl

Nancy Morizio, CTG, CITM
President

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Nancy is a singer, a cook, and a joyful adopted daughter of Abruzzo. She obtained degrees in Theater from Wheaton College in Chicago and Circle in The Square in NYC. Her lyric soprano voice has been heard in musical theater, opera and operetta in New York and New England. Fluent in Italian, Nancy is also a Certified Tour Guide and Certified International Tour Manager through the International Guide Academy.  She has developed a deep knowledge and appreciation of the Abruzzo region’s amazing cuisine, rich culture and values embedded in religion, history, family and traditions. Nancy has had the pleasure of touring numerous guests in Abruzzo, as well as Rome, Venice and other Italian destinations.

 

Michael Morizio, MBA

A first generation Italian from Boston, MA, Michael’s entrepreneurial spirit has led him to create a few distinguished businesses prior to co-founding Abruzzo Presto with his wife, Nancy. His father was born to a long line of Morizios spanning seven generations in the Pescara region of Abruzzo. In addition to receiving his MBA from Bentley University, Michael has two music degrees including a Master’s in Voice from the Boston Conservatory. Michael spent a great deal of his avocational life singing musical theater and operatic roles. He made his Italian debut singing the title role of Don Giovanni with the Opera Festival of Rome. Fluent in Italian, Michael’s passion is touring the Abruzzo region with guests, and stopping for an occasional good glass of Montepulciano D’Abruzzo.
